Students tell all in films about college life

Students are starring in new set of videos which give an inside glimpse into what college life is like.

Kirklees College has released eight films – one for each of its centres – to give an idea of both the facilities on offer and hear from students in their own words

The films are available to view online on the college website at www.kirkleescollege.ac.uk/video and were produced by Bradford company Twenty Twenty Films.

The Dewsbury centre film features Janaed Ali, from Westborough High School, who is studying hairdressing and Hanifah Hussain, from Castle Hall Academy, who is studying foundation learning.

The Batley campus film features Jacob Lea, from Shelley College, who is studying for a BTEC foundation diploma in art and design; Georgina Heward, from Mirfield Free Grammar and Jess Lamb, from Spen Valley High, who are both working towards a BTEC extended diploma in art and design.

All centres are having open days in January. The main campus in Chapel Hill, Taylor Hill animal centre, Engineering Centre, Brunel Construction Centre and Highfields Centre for media, music and performing arts and the Hargate Hill equestrian centre in Glossop are open on Saturday January 17, 10.30am-1pm. Last admission is 12.30pm.

The Dewsbury centre and Batley School of Art are holding open days on Tuesday January 20, 5.30pm-8pm. Last entry is 7.30pm.
