Suspected armed robber raids Mirfield shop

Officers were called to the One Stop store in Greenside Road at 8.30pm.

A robber had entered the store with what he claimed was a weapon in a plastic bag and demanded cash.

The shop assistant handed money over and the man fled.

The white man was described as being in his 40s, 5ft 5in to 5ft 8in tall and of medium stocky build.

He was said to have a “long fat nose” and a round face with greying stubble.
