The event’s biggest vintage market to date will be held in the Market Place.

And visitors can also call in to a pop up vintage cinema, have their photograph taken in a camper van, take part in music quizzes and produce flower power inspired art.

Andrew Marsden, of Batley Business Association, which has organised the festival, said: “People can enjoy seeing Batley come alive, seeing lots of happy smiling people from near and far.

“And make sure you have your eyes to the skies at 2.10pm so you can see the once-in-a-life time experience of a Lancaster, a Spitfire and a Hurricane flying a display over the town centre.

“People can also enjoy a cuppa in Mrs M’s NAAFI tent.

“And you can listen to some of the best vintage musical acts around, and if you fancy it, join in with some dancing.

“There is also the chance to see some fabulous vintage vehicles and have a go at some old skills in the workshops.

“People can also experience the early years of the Batley Variety Club and flower power in the 60s zone.

“It’s nearly time to have a great, free day of vintage fun, right here in the heart of Batley.

The free event will take place from 10am until 5pm. It will support Batley Food Bank and visitors are invited to donate items at collection points around the event.
