CLECKHEATON will be offering shoppers something special when it hosts its own Christmas market.
The Totally Locally Cleckheaton initiative is holding the Victorian market at the George in Parkside.
There will be 30 stalls offering locally produced goods including gifts and food, plus a hog roast.
Stallholders will be dressed in Victorian costume.
Matthew Crowther, from Matthew’s Coffee House, Market Street, said: “This will give local shopkeepers a chance to show off their goods in a festive atmosphere.
“The market will also give other local people a chance to sell some of their home-made goods.”
Some of the local businesses having stalls include Lily Vanilla, Design 24, Heaven@Seven, Jackson Shoes, Twiddle and Fiddle, the Cabbage Patch and Matthew’s Coffee House.
The market will take place in the pub’s Mead Hall on Sunday December 9 from 11am-3pm.
