Tumble dryer sparks blaze in Cleckheaton

Fire crews were called to Westcliffe Road at around 1.55pm after neighbours reported seeing smoke coming from the house.

Nobody was inside.

It took crews an hour to extinguish the blaze.

A spokesperson said: “Some clothes had been left in the tumble dryer and we think that have caused the fire. Nobody was injured.”
