Two injured in Chickenley smash

A woman had to be cut free from her Peugeot convertible and was taken to hospital after the incident at around 7.50pm.

She suffered a suspected broken leg and a minor head injury.

The driver of a Vauxhall Vectra was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Two fire crews from Dewsbury and one from Ossett attended the scene at the junction of Chickenley Lane and Wakefield Road, opposite the Winewise store.
