Two rollers stolen from farmyard

THIEVES have stolen two huge tarmacadam rollers worth £18,000 each.

The machines, which were Bomag tandem 120 models, were taken from a farmyard in Thornhill Lees while roadworks were going on the area.

House-to-house enquiries have not produced any clues as to the identity of the suspects.

A police spokesman said: “At the time it would not have been unusual for people to see such vehicles as extensive roadworks were ongoing in Lees Hall Road and Brewery Lane.”
