Wedding: Newsome–Bruce

Bar worker Penny Bruce was married to cleaning supervisor Christopher Newsome at the Blacksmith’s Shop in Gretna Green.

The couple, of Huddersfield Road in Birstall, held their reception at the Hazel Dene Hotel in Gretna Green.

The bride wore an a-line, strapless Mia Sposa gown in organza, which had crystals and beads at the top and waist, and a plain bottom. The veil was made by Richards Designs in ivory and was cathedral-length with crystals.

The bridegroom wore Bruce Antient tartan, which was the bride’s tartan.

The bridesmaids were Rachael Auty, Eleanor Rose Bruce, Isla Firth Newsome and Rona Marie Newsome.

The best man was Calvin Wilkinson.

The couple honeymooned at Sanday in the Orkney Islands.
