Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, minister of state for Faith and Communities, is joining the group for its Focus on Faith seminar, held in partnership with the University of Huddersfield.

Faith centres, voluntary organisations and residents’ groups will take part, aiming to strengthen interfaith relations and increase awareness of the different faith communities in Kirklees and the contributions they make to society.

Kirklees Faith Forum’s Fakhara Rehman said: “The week is jam-packed with activity, and though exhausting, it is the most satisfying week in the Kirklees Faiths Forum calendar.

“We meet so many friendly, warm and generous people throughout the week who bring with them a passion for the betterment of their communities which crosses over differences in culture and faith.”

Interfaith Week events are free but booking is essential. Visit kirkleesfaithsforum.org.uk or call 01924 326425.
