A woman suffered head and leg injuries after a car smashed into a wall in Liversedge in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
It’s thought the male driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene for drink-driving.
Fire crews from Cleckheaton and Ossett were called to Norristhorpe Lane at around 2.30am.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said it’s likely the car had gone too fast around a corner and hit a stone wall.
The female passenger was injured when her head hit the windscreen and she also suffered leg injuries.
Firefighters administered first aid to the woman, before leaving her in the care of paramedics.
They also disconnected the car’s battery to make the scene safe and cleared up oil which had spilled from the vehicle.
