Yorkshire’s housing market is improving ahead of expectations.
So says Jones Lang LaSalle in its mid-year residential UK market forecasts.
The firm expects average house prices in Yorkshire will rise by one per cent this year, with a three per cent increase by 2016.
It said government support for the housing market, notably through Funding for Lending and Help to Buy, had fundamentally altered market accessibility for purchasers.
New build property had seen a disproportionately strong impact from these programmes.
