Care was second to none

I have noticed in the papers recently that people are still criticising the NHS.

Having just spent two weeks in the care of Dewsbury and District Hospital, I have nothing but praise for them.
From being picked up from home in the early hours of July 12 by two great ambulance paramedics, to being booked in at A&E at Dewsbury, I could not have been cared for better.

I was then admitted to the MAU (medical admissions unit) ward. I was assessed for further treatment, but unfortunately my health deteriorated and I was transferred to the ICU.

There the standard of nursing care I received from the staff and doctors was second to none.
As I started to recover I was then transferred to the step down ward of ward eight, where I was cared for until I was able to return home.

So instead of criticism let’s have positivity for the great teams that work within our local hospital.

The care that my wife and I received was considerate, professional and second to none and for that we are truly grateful.
