Our over-stretched A&E departments

Some of the best brains in the country are currently scratching their heads trying to understand why the NHS’s A&E service is being overstretched to the limit with people turning up in their thousands, demanding treatment for their various ailments regardless of being an emergency or not.

Can I suggest one possible reason.

When the last government gave up on border control, and allowed into the country between two to three million immigrants, it would surely not be beyond the wisdom of these “mandarins” to conclude that a large proportion of these newcomers would have fallen ill over the last decade or so.
