As part of the street market at the Folk Festival, the Friends of West End Park sold ‘instant poems’ to raise funds for planned improvements.
£100 was raised on an amazingly hot and sunny Saturday. Unfortunately the inevitable rain started before everyone had collected their poems and so if you were the man who especially requested a poem about bankers, please get in touch with me and I’ll send it to you. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately the temptation to use the obvious rhyme proved too much, rendering the poem unprintable!
