Viva Las Vegas

Regarding the article in last week’s Spenborough Guardian, “Massive rise in audience tally”, it was my great pleasure to attend Cleckheaton town hall on Saturday September 29 to see Viva Las Vegas.

It was an evening of song and dance, performed by the Elaine Howarth school of dance, and what a lovely night’s entertainment it was.

From the younger children, who danced with an abundance of ability, effort and flair, to the older dancers who performed with enthusiasm, poise and exceptional talent – all of them were brilliant.

It proved what exceptionally high standards can be reached with a lot of hard work and dedication.

What a truly exhilarating and uplifting night out!

If this is an example of the entertainment being provided in our town halls and theatres, then I am not surprised attendances are soaring.
