Alton Towers theme park has announced two new attractions coming later this year.

Named as the Alton Towers Dungeon and the Stargazing Pods, the upcoming attractions have been revealed through a set of intriguing images.

Alton Towers Dungeon

The Dungeon is a horror attraction, and will be home to a number of characters designed to scare the bravest visitors.

It features five different shows about some of the UK’s most controversial deviants. The attraction is packed with special effects, and costumes and make up have been designed by specialists who work on the West End.

Stargazing Pods

The Stargazing Pods will open ahead of the Easter holidays, offering families the chance to spend more time outdoors and experience a unique overnight stay on the doorstep of the resort.

Each of the 102 pods is made from sustainably sourced timber and comes complete with a telescope – encouraging guests to look up and gaze at the magic of the night sky.
