Travel company, Responsible Travel has seen a rise in demand for upskilling holidays, with bookings up by 132 per cent in three years.

Popular types of upskilling holidays

Some pursuits are proving especially popular among holidaymakers - bookings for painting and art getaways have more than quadrupled, soaring by 433 per cent over the same period.

Dancing is up 173 per cent, and Spanish language courses by 88 per cent.

Responsible Travel founder and CEO, Justin Francis, said, “With so many competing daily demands on our time, pursuing our passions can be a luxury. But more of us are actively seeking to achieve a better balance in life, and we’re seeing that reflected in travel habits.
