Rob Afoa Peterson and Lee Queeley are set to return to Cleckheaton’s starting line-up tomorrow as they welcome lowly Westoe to Moorend.

Cleckheaton will be aiming to extend their impressive unbeaten home record in National Three North and collect an eighth win in nine outings.

Ian Armitage’s men will be particularly keen to impress as a big Moorend crowd is expected, with another of the club’s popular pre-match luncheons taking place before.

The game kicks off at the later time of 3pm to accommodate the pre-match festivities and will finish under floodlights, which should help provide a crackling late afternoon atmosphere.

Afoa Peterson has had a spell on the sidelines injured but returns to bolster Cleck’s pack tomorrow, while Queeley is sure to add pace out wide.

Josh White had a terrific first half in the 17-8 victory over Beverley last Saturday before he was substituted to allow him to rest ahead of Sunday’s Yorkshire Under-20s game, in which the Cleckheaton starlet again impressed.

White drops down to the Kestrels tomorrow but Jack Seddon keeps his place in the first team starting line-up having scored a late try last week to secure victory.

Captain and leading scorer for the last two seasons, Richard Piper, drops to the bench tomorrow, where he is joined by another powerful forward Carl Mason.

Cleckheaton have won all five games at Moorend this time but will be wary after Westoe recorded a surprise 41-12 victory over Rossendale last week.

That victory allowed Westoe to move five points clear of bottom side Beverley but all three of their wins have come on home turf, while they have lost five on the road, and Cleckheaton should be brimming with confidence as they close in on fifth place.
