Warrington will defend his English featherweight title against Devon’s Jamie Speight, while Aitcheson will make his eagerly awaited comeback on the undercard.

Leeds United fan Warrington can’t wait to box in front of a big home crowd and has been inundated with ticket enquiries since they went on sale last week.

Warrington said: “The response for tickets has been unbelievable. People who have never seen me box before are wanting tickets to see what I’m all about.

“It is great what Central is doing for this area. There used to be just Gary Sykes boxing from here but now there is five or six pros plus other guys coming.

“I have fought out of gyms all over, it must be double figures, but this is the one I’m happiest at.

“I know when my dad (trainer Sean O’Hagen) can’t be here that Julian McGowan and John Tallant will look after me and the work we put in showed in my last fight.”

Dewsbury boxer Aitcheson, who will return at welterweight, added: “I’ve had a lot of interest in this fight and the amount of people who have asked about tickets has shocked me.

“I want to make an impression and show everyone what they have missed while I have been out of action.”
