Cleckheaton take a well-earned break from the rigours of National Three North action, with the Kestrels taking centre stage tomorrow.
The break from league action gives Ian Armitage’s men chance to recuperate ahead of their home derby with bogey side Huddersfield YMCA on January 31.
Cleckheaton are a formidable outfit at Moorend and maintained their unbeaten home record last week thanks to a superb 3-3 draw against league leaders Sandal.
Their last league defeat at home was against Huddersfield YMCA last February.
YMCA completed a league double over Cleck last season and won 31-24 at Laund Hill in October, with another interesting game in prospect on Saturday week when the John Bower Trophy will be at stake.
Cleckheaton have named a 21-man Kestrels side tomorrow as they seek to bounce back from three straight defeats at home to Driffield.
They went down 35-7 away to Sandal on the back of defeats at Sheffield and West Park Leeds in January.
The Kestrels should have a stronger side on duty against Driffield with first team regulars James Wilson, Matt Piper, Carl Mason, Josh White, Paul Turner and Jack Seddon all dropping into the second team.
