Cleckheaton’s White helps Yorkshire U20s to county success

Cleckheaton’s Josh Plunkett helped Yorkshire Under-20s record a convincing 34-7 win against Cheshire at Bowden Rugby Club near Altrincham last Sunday.

The Cleckheaton back rower started the game at No8 and was denied a try when the Cheshire scrum-half illegally stopped him grounding the ball at the back of a scrum that had been driven over.

The referee saw the incident and immediately awarded Yorkshire a penalty try.

n Cleckheaton Kestrels claimed a 15-7 victory over Sheffield Seconds in the Yorkshire RFU Premiership Merit last Saturday.
