Cup draws present new challenges for cricketers

Clubs from the Bradford League’s Premier Division and two Championship sections will compete for the Priestley Cup, which will have a preliminary round for the first time.

The losers of the preliminary round go into the Jack Hampshire Cup first round, with the former Central Yorkshire League’s premier competition now played for by teams in the Bradford League Conference sections.

Clubs’ second teams in the Premier and Championships will compete for the Priestley Shield, with those in the Conference Sections taking their place in the Weatley Cup.

Preliminary round ties take place on Sunday May 1, with the first round on May 15.

Priestley Cup

Prelim round (Sunday May 1): Batley v Hopton Mills, Hunslet Nelson v Brighouse, Bankfoot v Keighley, Wrenthorpe v Ossett.
