Fisher ease into semis

ST JOHN Fisher eased into the Heavy Woollen Challenge Cup semi-finals after they thrashed Howden Clough 6-0 last Sunday.

Dominic Riordan led the victory charge as he hit four goal, while Rob Bordman and Anthony Doran netted the others for Fisher, who will now meet Battyeford in the last four tie, which will be played at Ossett Albion on March 30.

The outstanding quarter-final of the Heavy Woollen Challenge Trophy saw Dewsbury Rangers win 3-0 at St Ignatius thanks to goals from Tom Swailes, Craig Watson and Jordan Pugh.

Rangers face Gomersal in the semi-final next Thursday (March 10) at Ossett Town.
