Leeds United Women's team produce four-star display to sink Hull City
Leeds United Women U23s proved too strong for Hull City Reserves as they cruised to a 4-1 success.
Emily Sykes opened the scoring from a corner in the 10th minute and the lead was doubled before the break when Holly Orr threaded the ball past the keeper.
Dani Trickett extended the lead to three with a superb strike from the edge of the penalty area and Mollie Havard completed the scoring 15 minutes from time with a scything run and cool finish.
On Sunday, the U23s host Middlesbrough Reserves at Crofton Community Centre (2pm).
Impressive Leeds United Women U19s secured three points and racked-up a clean sheet with a thumping 5-0 win over Boroughbridge.
The Leeds side had an average age of under-17 but they were unfazed by the transition to an open age league this season.
United stamped their authority on the game within the first few minutes with a well worked build up and goal from Megan Sharp. Leeds dominated possession but had to settle for one more goal in the first half, a lovely strike from Lauren Richardson.
Leeds continued to boss the game in the second half and strikes from Megan Sharp, Mollie Whitehead, Lauren Richardson, Annabel Banks and Robyn Prince rounded-off a fine display.
Ella Joynson received the player of the match award.
