Sedge must already play 10 games in 22 days, starting with Thursday night’s scheduled trip to Handsworth Parramore, and face re-scheduling the Hall Road game plus a NCE League Cup quarter-final before May 3.

Liversedge looked a tired outfit when they entertained Hemsworth Miners Welfare last Saturday as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat.

Hemsworth appeared fresher and took a 1-0 lead into half-time through Richard Collier’s 35th minute goal.

Samuel Jones ensured the visitors left Clayborn with all three points when he doubled the advantage 10 minutes from time.

Striker Joe Walton added another two goals to his impressive tally as Liversedge earned a 3-1 victory at Garforth Town last Thursday.

Walton has now netted 26 times in all competitions, 23 of which have come in the league.

Daniel Farrar put Liversedge ahead with a sixth minute goal and it remained 1-0 at half-time.

Walton doubled the lead and although Mark Simpson pulled one back for Garforth, Walton’s second secured Liversedge’s win.

Sedge travel to Handsworth on Thursday and then host Maltby Main on Saturday and Bridlington Town next Monday.
