‘Phenomenal’ Wells steers Huddersfield Town to Barnsley rout

Huddersfield Town boss Mark Robins described Nahki Wells as “phenomenal” after the Terriers cruised to a 5-0 home win over Barnsley in the Championship.

Wells produced four assists, starting with a pass that put Keith Southern in for the opener on the half-hour.

Wells was also the provider for Danny Ward’s strike three minutes later and Adam Hammill’s goal on 48 minutes.

Adam Clayton converted from the penalty spot on 58 minutes after Wells was brought down in the box and Sean Scannell wrapped up the points with a fifth four minutes from time.
