Rangers held to draw by relegation rivals Medics

Dewsbury Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds Medics and Dentists third team in their battle against relegation from Yorkshire Amateur League Division One last Saturday.

The draw keeps Rangers third-bottom, two points above Medics, who have two games in hand in the battle against the drop.

Dewsbury Rangers Reserves suffered a 5-0 defeat to Drighlington and remain second-bottom in Division Four.

Rangers worked hard but a Johnny Lakin hat-trick plus goals from Jamie Snelgrove and Josh Frankland sealed Drighlington’s victory.

Old Batelians Reserves earned a 4-2 victory over West End Park in Division Five.

Razeb Raja scored after an assist from Scott Milloy and Michael Smith netted following good work by Rob Hiscox but West End also scored twice in the first half, which ended 2-2.

Batelians were awarded a controversial penalty, which Hiscox converted.

Hiscox sealed victory when he curled a free-kick over the wall and into the bottom corner of the net.

Norristhorpe Reserves remain top of Division Five despite a 4-2 defeat away to North Leeds Reserves.

Elliott Harris bagged a brace for North Leeds, including a penalty, while they also had Tyler Bissue and Jamil Waller on target.

Gav Saville and a Brad Wild penalty replied for Norristhorpe, who stay top on goal difference.
