Grace dominated and boxed clever, landing clean combinations while defending the counter attacks to secure a unanimous decision victory on all judges cards and earn a place in Sunday’s final .

Grace returned to the ring two days later, to face Liam Riley of the St Pauls Boxing Academy and again put on a dominant display of boxing.

Grace drew blood in the first round, while overpowering and out-boxing his opponent over all three rounds to secure a unanimous decision victory and secure a hat-trick of Yorkshire junior boxing titles.

Subhaan Ahmed boxed Naseem Stowell of the Hull Saints Amateur Boxing Club in the 46kg category of the Yorkshire Junior Championships.

Subhaan boxed skilfully from the first bell, out-boxing his opponent and drew blood in the first round.

Stowell tried to defend the onslaught but the attack was proving too much and at one stage, the referee appeared to be on the verge of stepping in to stop the bout but Stowell made it to hear the bell.

The second round saw Ahmed again dominate aggressively, forcing the referee to administer a standing eight count to Stowell and later stop the bout for a few moments to wipe the flow of blood from the Hull boxer’s nose.

The third round was also one sided with Ahmed again going close to forcing a stoppage.

Stowell managed to hear the final bell and Ahmed’s hand was raised declaring him a winner by unanimous decision and the Yorkshire champion in the 46kg category.

Both boxers have progressed massively since joining Dewsbury’s KBW Boxing Club, despite travelling from Bradford for training.

Grace and Ahmed now go forward for the regional finals on March 15, with a place in the national quarter-finals at stake.

The KBW pair will be aiming to go a step further as the competition for a place in the national junior finals hots up.
