Kent shines in cycle speedway set back

Heckmondwike Cycle Speedway club in Northern Fours League action at Stockport.

Stockport were at full strength and more suited the dry, fast track, as Heckmondwike struggled to gain any ground in the scoring.

Result: Stockport 99, Heckmondwikes 51. Heckmondwike scorers: Darren Kent 12+1, Justin Naylor 7, Mick Knowles 8+1 Chris Summersgill 7 Adam Watson 10, Jake Wood 7.

Heckmondwike Under-13s secured another win in the Division Three Series of junior matches, defeating Stockport 44-36 .

Heckmondwike scorers: Declan Summersgill 7, Tom Whitwam 15, Ben Summersgill 6, Bella Naylor 4, Will Naylor 12.

Heckmondwike juniors were also due to meet Glasgow juniors at Stockport but with the Scottish side unable to raise a team, Heckmondwike won 50 points to zero.

Heckmondwike welcome Bury to Firth Park this Sunday, with racing starting at 2pm.
