Liversedge aim to boost home league record

LIVERSEDGE will be aiming to improve their record at Clayborn tomorrow when they entertain Long Eaton United in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division (kick off 3pm).

While Eric Gilchrist’s men have enjoyed much of their time on the road, winning three and drawing one of their five matches, thay have failed to fire on all cylinders on home soil.

Having beaten Maltby Main 3-2 in their first home game, Sedge have lost three and drawn one of their last four at Clayborn and they will be hoping to reverse those fortunes against Long Eaton tomorrow.

Having been well beaten 4-1 at leaders Worksop Parramore last Saturday, Sedge bounced back on Tuesday with a 1-0 win at Arnold Town with Danny Toronczak bagging the only goal of the game.

Sedge will be out to cause an upset on Tuesday when they travel to Northern Premier League Garforth Town in the first round of the West Riding County Cup (7.45pm).
