Liversedge FC and Cleckheaton RUFC draw after letting leads slip

LIVERSEDGE let a three-goal lead slip as they drew 3-3 at Northern Counties East League Premier Division leaders Scarborough Athletic.

Goals from Nathan Cartman and Jamie Wasley saw Sedge two-up at the break before Alex Hallam added a third 20 minutes from time.

But the hosts stormed back and after a quick brace equalised two minutes from time to stay top on goal difference from Retford and 15 points clear of 11th placed Liversedge.

Cleckheaton RUFC turned in a disappointing second-half display as they drew 17-17 with bottom-club Team Northumbria in North One East.

Cleckheaton led 17-0 at the break but saw that chipped away as they were forced to settle for a draw.
