Liversedge hit the road again with Barton trip

Away days are becoming something of the norm for Liversedge FC and they hit the road again on Saturday with a trip to Barton Town Old Boys.

Ironically, Sedge’s last home outing was against Barton back on October 31 and they are not due to play at Clayborn again until the visit of Cleethorpes Town on January 5.

Two months without a home fixture is hitting Liversedge hard in the pocket but they have managed to secure sponsorship funding from Clemo Motors with the local firm renewing ground boards and programme advertising.

Liversedge officials have thanked Clemo chief executive Richard Smith and Andy Farrell for renewing the deal but the club are constantly look for additional sponsors as Jon Rimmington’s men look to preserve their Northern Counties East League Premier Division status.

Sedge currently lie third-bottom, a point above the relegation zone, but are confident of pulling clear of danger.
