Liversedge juniors celebrate tennis title success

Liversedge Junior team won the Huddersfield Tennis League Division Two title with ease, going unbeaten throughout the season.

Liversedge’s title triumph was unexpected as they were promoted by two divisions at the end of the previous season having won the Division Four title easily.

Despite aiming to consolidtae their place in the second division, Liversedge’s experience proved a big factor as captain Saahil Gupta, Anna Hammond, Nitish Bala and Oliver Baker were part of the previous season’s title winning team and they helped bring through the younger players Nanda Kakumani and James Wright.

The Liversedge intermediate team also had an excellent season finishing third in Division One, beating some of the bigger clubs on the way.
