Liversedge net home FA Cup tie

LIVERSEDGE FC have been drawn at home to Northern League Division One West Auckland Town in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup, to be played on Saturday August 11.

If Sedge defeat West Auckland, they will travel to the winners of North Shields and Birtley in the preliminary round on August 25 with a trip to Marske United, Stokesley SC, Ashington or Sunderland RCA awaiting in the first qualifying round on September 8.

Sedge have also been paired at home to North Shields in the first qualifying round of the FA Vase on September 1.

A trip to Shildon awaits the winners in the second qualifying round and if Sedge are successful there, they would travel to Yorkshire Amateurs or South Shields in the first round proper.

The Northern Counties East League have expanded the Premier Division to 22 clubs with Glasshoughton Welfare and Worksop Parramore promoted from Division One, while Heanor Town have been accepted into the top flight having joined from the East Midlands Counties League.
