Local cage fighters on show at Frontier extravaganza

A NUMBER of local cage fighters will get to show off their skills at an event being held at the Frontier nightclub, Bradford Road, this Sunday.

The mixed martial arts event, which has been named ‘way of the warriors’ will see fighters from three Dewsbury gyms represented.

Fighting out of Neil Hall’s Allegiance MMA Gym are set to be Mark Aldridge, a seasoned professional who has been on the UK fighting circuit for over eight years, and Kyle Spencer, who faces a kickboxing bout against taekwondo black belt Johnny Norwell, from Batley.

Three fighters will be making their debuts, representing the KBW Gym, who are based in Savile Town.

Joshua Collins will be joined by brothers Saif Cheema and Furqan Cheema in their first bouts, while Daniel Thompson will also make his return to the cage.

A second Savile Town gym, Caged Steel, will be represented by Krystof Golec in his second appearance in the cage.

Other West Yorkshire fighters to look out for on the bill include 17-year-old Ben Lister and Emily Martin, who will make her debut in a female MMA fight.
