Moor facing huge test at Queens

DEWSBURY Moor face up to their biggest challenge of the season when they meet holders Queens in the National Cup fourth round at Bus Vale, Leeds tomorrow (2pm).

This last 16 game is a huge test for the Moor, who are on a run of eight successive league and cup wins, as Queens are top of the Pennine Premier Division and through to the much-delayed Yorkshire Cup final.

But Moor have shown great spirit this time and produced fine performances to register some good away wins as well as at Heckmondwike Road. They are already qualified for the new Championship division of the Pennine League as they are certain to be in the top four of Division One East and a win at Queens would be a massive boost.

Thornhill Trojans should take an other step up the Division Three table when they visit bottom club Victoria Rangers, a side they beat 62-0 at home. Thornhill are also on a good run and their only defeat since October came against Conference side Egremont in the National Cup.

In Yorkshire League Division Three, White Rose meet Ryhill Hammers at Bywell Fields (2.30pm) and Shaw Cross A visit Eastmoor A.
