CLECKHEATON will aim to build on their impressive derby win over Huddersfield YMCA a fortnight ago when they travel to Malton and Norton in North One East on Saturday (kick off 2.15pm).
The Moorenders produced one of their best performnaces of the season when registering a 31-13 victory over YMCA and they will now look to make further progress up the table against a side who lie just a point and one place above them.
Malton and Norton look a handy side at home having won three of their four matches but Theo Barnard’s men have started show glimpses that they are beginning to gel and they will look to now go on a winning run with three out of their next four games against sides around them in the league standings.
Fly half Mike Swetman has been in excellent form lately and he racked up 21 points in the victory over Huddersfield YMCA as he crossed for a brace of tries, landed a penalty and was also successful with four conversion attempts.
Pat Foulstone is selected for his third game in Cleckheaton colours, while there is a start at full-back for Ronan Evans after he came off the bench to score a try in the derby win.
After the trip to Malton and Norton, Cleckheaton entertain 10th placed Percy Park on December 2, followed by a trip to leaders Morpeth before ending the year at home to Bradford & Bingley.
