Morley beat woodlands to reach T20 final

MORLEY produced a shock to defeat Bradford League champions and Division One leaders Woodlands in the Dyson Insulations Twenty20 Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

Morley will now contest the final, against the winners of East Bierley and Pudsey Congs, under floodlights at Bradford & Bingley on Thursday August 16 (start 8pm).

Woodlands were taking the competition seriously and fielded a full-strength side but they were bowled out for 112 in 19 overs.

Overseas man Kahif Naveed hit 28 in reply but the visitors were reduced to 68-4 before a 45-run unbroken fifth-wicket stand between Matt Baxter (34no) and Winn (12no) saw second division Morley complete a superb victory with seven balls to spare.
