Nostalgia: Malice Virus still going 30 years on?
This moody looking band photo dropped out of the Batley News’ 1984 archive, with only ‘Malice Virus’ written on the back.
A quick internet search brought up some of the band’s songs on Youtube. They performed around North Kirklees from 1983 until 1986 when the core members were Patrick Torsney on vocals, Paul Collet on bass, Andrew ‘Rolph’ Rowley on drums, and Roger Lord on lead guitar. But Roger Lord appears to still be uploading music under the Malice Virus name as recently as 2013. He namechecked his bandmates and said: “If any of them are making music and feel the urge to upload their own stuff under the Malice Virus banner – please do!”
