Prosser bowls his way to Heaton trophy glory

Warwick and Worcester county bowler Ryan Prosser won the inaugural David Lamb Memorial Bowls Trophy at Hanging Heaton last Saturday.

Spectators braved the wet and cold conditions to watch quality bowling from some of the top crown green bowls players in the north of England.

Prosser, on his first visit to the green, claimed the £500 first prize, producing some brilliant bowling in all of his four games.

County away captain James Davison was the best of the Yorkshire contingent, reaching the semi-finals before losing to Prosser 21-14 after being 12-6 up.
