Dewsbury Rams: Coleman in hospital after collapsing in training
Dewsbury Rams scrum-half Jy-mel Coleman will be out for the rest of the season after collapsing in training.
The 24-year-old has been undergoing tests in Dewsbury Hospital since he collapsed on Monday, July 29 and he is set to remain in hospital for another week while tests are completed.
The former Leeds Met Student and Keighley Cougars player has impressed for the Rams since joining the club at the start of the Kingstone Press Championship season.
A statement released by the Rams said: “Jy-mel did collapse at training last Monday and was treated by our physiotherapist who decided that he should go to hospital that same night to work out what had happened and to treat him accordingly.
“Jy-mel has spent the last week in Dewsbury Hospital undergoing tests to determine the root cause of what happened.
“He will not play again this season and it is likely that he will not be able to return to work for some time.”
