Dewsbury Rams end Sheffield Eagles hoodoo with terrific win
The Rams fought back from 10-0 down to lead 12-10 at half-time before nilling the Eagles in the second half..
It was a memorable success for Glenn Morrison’s men, ending a 16-match winless run against Sheffield.

Hide AdScott Turner grabbed the first try of the new era, latching onto a Kyle Briggs kick to cross in the corner, with Dom Brambani’s touchline conversion rattling the left post.
The Eagles struck again on the half hour when a Briggs kick dribbled towards the try line and Patch Walker pounced before the Rams defence to score, with Brambani converting.
Grant bagged his first try, latching onto a neat Matty Wildie kick to the in-goal area, with Tom Hemingway converting from wide out.
Scrum-half Anthony Thackeray then produced a piece of individual brilliance, dummying over for a try, with Hemingway’s conversion edging the Rams ahead.,

Hide AdBoth sides had chances after the break but defences thwarted the attempts.
Thackeray landed a 65th minute drop-goal to give Dewsbury a three-point lead.
In a tense finale, Sheffield knocked on close to their line and Wildie produced a superb long pass to send Grant over for his second try in the final minute.
Hemingway curled over a brilliant touchline goal with the last kick of the game as the Rams celebrated a winning start.
