Strong Rams Reserves seal comfortable win

Dewsbury Rams Reserves recorded a fifth straight victory in the Reserves Championships last Thursday, defeating Keighley Cougars 40-4.

Stephen Nash continued his rehabilitation from injury with a run out for the second string and he bagged a brace of tries.

Brad Delaney produced another terrific display, capped by the half-back landing six goals, and he earned a first team call up for Sunday’s game, while Ryan Fieldhouse featured at full-back.

The Rams completed a league double over Keighley having won 50-22 at Cougar Park earlier in the season.

Player-coach Jonathan Schofield was also among the Rams scorers as his side ran in 40 unanswered points having conceded an early try.

Ryan Langton, Cian Timmins, Dan Lidbury and Stephen Copeland were Dewsbury’s other try scorers, while the Rams handed a reserve team debut to Jensen Okhovat.

The Rams winning run was set to be tested last night when they were due to visit Leigh Centurions, aiming to complete another notable double.
