Sykes hands out Sharks junior prizes as Liddemore scoops Boys U10s award

Dewsbury's former two time British and English boxing champion Gary Sykes handed out the prizes at the Shaw Cross Sharks Under-10s presentation last Friday.

Under-10s head coach Andy Robinson and Sean Fuller also helped oversee proceedings which saw Sykes present the parents player of the year award to Archie Dufton.

Coaches award went to Harrison Lindsay and top tackler award to Luke Maclaren.

Shaw Cross are now planning for next season when they target success at Under-11s.

Batley Bulldogs players James Brown and Shaun Ainscough handed out awards at the Batley Boys Under-10s presentation night.

The coaches thanked everyone who attended the evening and the supporters who have attended the Under-10s matches throughout the season.

All the team got a squad award before the main awards were handed out.

Owen Parsons scooped top tackler and spectators MoM awards, while most improved players went to Owen Lister and Joshua Farrish,

Man of steel awards were presented to Luke Armitage and Archie Dransfield.

The Piwinsky Supporters Trophy went to Reece Everitt and Owen Parsons, players player of the year went to Maxx Liddemore and the coaches player awards were handed out to Nathan Pickering and Reece Everitt.

The Boys Under-10s coaches and players thanked Lisa and Ned Liddemore, Maria Dransfield and Sarah Tranter for their help throughout the junior campaign.

The team also thanked Mark Wells, from Complete Services, for his continuing sponsorship.

Batley Boys Under-10s are already preparing for the new season, as they move up to Under-11s.

The team are looking for new players and train each Tuesday evening between 6pm to 7pm.
