Scholes are on the brink of a return to the Central Yorkshire League Premier Division with two games remaining.
They welcome relegation threatened Mirfield to New Popplewell Lane tomorrow knowing that a maximum points win will be enough to see them join leaders Hopton Mills in the top flight next season.
Wakefield St Michael’s and Liversedge are waiting in the wings should Scholes slip up in their penultimate match.
Liversedge travel to Oulton tomorrow knowing only victory will be good enough to keep alive their lingering promotion hopes.
It’s also worth noting that Scholes travel to Liversedge on the final day of the season, when St Michael’s are at Hopton.
