Liversedge FC will take on a Huddersfield Town representative side on Tuesday August 25.

In-coming Liversedge chairman Leigh Bromby works with the Town Academy and has arranged to send a side to Clayborn.

Liversedge have set admission prices at just £2.50 adults, with Under-15s admitted free. Town fans who produce their season tickets at the turnstiles will also be admitted free.

The 100th person through gate on the evening will receive two tickets to a Huddersfield home fixture, with the 200th person winning a signed Town home shirt.

There will also be a mystery prize for the 300th person attending.

Liversedge are looking for a match sponsor and ball sponsor for the fixture and anybody interested can contact to Danny Cooper via e-mail

Liversedge suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brighouse Old Boys in their final pre-season fixture on Tuesday.

Sedge created plenty of chances but were unable to score and found themselves 2-0 down against a Brighouse side managed by former Liversedge coach Kim Farrand.

Kieran Corley hit the crossbar before Liversedge pulled a goal back late in the game.

Sedge also suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic last Saturday but now turn their attentions to Saturday’s Northern Counties East League Premier Division opener at Clipstone.

The Mansfield side won promotion as first division champions last season so the opening fixture promises to be a keen test for Jon Rimmington’s new-look Sedge outfit.
