Teams cruise to double success

The A team, sitting pretty in second spot in Section A, cruised to a seven-wicket success against strugglers Leymoor A.

Great bowling from Chris Allen (4-29) and Anwar Hashmi (2-11) sent Leymoor back to the pavilion on 131.

And the hosts made no mistake in reply as James Hudson (29 not out), Matthew Crowther (23 not out), Paul Cooper (23) and Adam Holt (28) guided their team to 132-3.

In Section D, Heckmondwike and Carlinghow B enjoyed similar fortunes in their six-wicket victory at Thornhill and Westborough B.

Andy Pickett (4-34) and Brian Hill (3-13) made light work of the hosts’ innings, which ended on 89.

Andrew Crowther (28) and Martin Crossley (23) then stepped-up to the mark with the bat as the visitors hit 92-4.
