Thornhill Trojans Under-10s celebrated the end of a great season with their presentation last Sunday.

Every player turned up to receive well deserved squad awards, while thanks were given to the parents, coaches and club officials that have worked tirelessly to make the season a success for all junior teams at the club.

Tom Longley claimed the most improved award, Ryan Mitchell was back of the year and Jacob Goodall took forward of the year.

Kieran Duxbury won the boy of steel award with Braemar Murray voted parents player of the season.

Ollie Robson was rewarded for a terrific campaign by taking coaches player of the year and the squad are already looking forward to next season.

n Dewsbury Moor Under-18s eased into the BARLA Yorkshire Cup second round with a comprehensive 68-0 victory over a big Upton side.

Moor’s youth system is certainly proving its worth and they set about their task from the start, with some strong tackling keeping Upton in check.

After the early exchanges, Moor got their attacking game together with tries coming at regular intervals and 11 players getting on the scoresheet.

Jacob Crosswell and Cameron Adleigh crossed for two tries each, with further solo efforts coming from Liam Conway, Aidan Sheard, Joe Longstaffe, Tom Kaye, Luke Hooley, Bradley Foster, George Croisdale and Cameron Bruce.

Hooley chipped in with eight conversions, taking his personal points tally to 20, while Bradley Foster and Jordan Foster added a goal each.

Hamzah Riaz and John Bownass had impressive games, while Luke Sheridan also showed some neat touches .

Dewsbury Moor suffered a 56-4 defeat at Eastmoor in the Under-16s Yorkshire Cup, where Birstall Victoria were edged out 15-8 at Hunslet Warriors Bulls, while Dewsbury Celtic lost 10-0 away to Skirlaugh.
