Trojans U17s lift Moorends trophy
THORNHILL Trojans Under-17s won a pre-season tournament at Moorends.
The team were unbeaten during the competition, with Liam Sarginson and James Thornton scoring two tries each, while Matty Dennison, Adam Allerton and Jake Simmonds also crossed.
Tyler Oakes and Tom Steinke earned praise from sponsor Andy Ellis and Thornhill are confident of a successful season in Yorkshire Combination Division Two.
Wyke Under-8s drew 28-28 with Siddal last Saturday.

Hide AdWyke led 16-12 at half-time after a brace of tries from Jabriel Karolia, a length of the field effort by Harry Owen and another by Jake Rayner.
Karolia completed his hat-trick after the break, MoM Rayner added a second and there was one from top tackler Joseph Flynn before Siddal hit back to level.
Most improved player was Aiden Law.
