Vision edge out Savile in thriller

Vision edged out Savile Youth 4-3 to move up to sixth place in the Spen Valley League Premier Division last Saturday.

Abdullah Aswat bagged a hat-trick for Savile Youth but still ended on the losing side as a brace apiece from Chris Benn and Lloyd Webster secured Vision’s win.

Leaders Girlington thrashed Marsh 7-2 despite a brace from Sam Buswell.

TVR United are second, two points behind Girlington with four games in hand after a 9-2 win over Savile United, who replied through Faisal Husain and Faisal Adam.

Bradford Athletic (Faisal Hussain and Mohammed Ahmed) edged out Whitburn Athletic (Kirk Taylor) 2-1 in the other top flight game.
