Vision edge out Savile in thriller

Vision edged out Savile Youth 4-3 to move up to sixth place in the Spen Valley League Premier Division last Saturday.

Abdullah Aswat bagged a hat-trick for Savile Youth but still ended on the losing side as a brace apiece from Chris Benn and Lloyd Webster secured Vision’s win.

Leaders Girlington thrashed Marsh 7-2 despite a brace from Sam Buswell.

TVR United are second, two points behind Girlington with four games in hand after a 9-2 win over Savile United, who replied through Faisal Husain and Faisal Adam.

Bradford Athletic (Faisal Hussain and Mohammed Ahmed) edged out Whitburn Athletic (Kirk Taylor) 2-1 in the other top flight game.

Idle had R Mitchell, M Addy (two) and C Doherty on target in a 4-0 Division One win over Norfolk.

Mount Pleasant are fourth following a 6-2 victory over bottom side Cleckheaton Sporting as Mohammed Patel bagged a hat-trick, with Abdur Raeheem Mayat (two) and Adam Chhibda also on the scoresheet.

Nathan Williams and Liam Roadknight replied for Cleckheaton.

Hightown Jets are second after Nathan Clarke (hat-trick), Adam Smith, Kyle Kershaw, Dale Motlib and Johnny Asquith scored in a 7-2 win at Howden Clough (Simmy Moore brace).

Second-bottom Inter Batley (Haroon Laher) fought out a 1-1 draw against ninth placed Saville Town (Sufyaan Sajid).
